PROJECT
OVERVIEW
The PD&E study is considering
improvements necessary to create an extension of North Hancock Road and to
begin planning for the future as the developments in the area continue to
move forward.
The City of Minneola, utilizing Lake
County Impact Fee funds, contracted with HNTB Corporation to complete this
PD&E Study. The Study Team collected various sources of existing data
including roadway conditions, social and biological environmental data and
regional implications.
The City of Minneola is aware of the
large amount of growth occurring in Lake County. The Council determined that
it was important to address this growth and its affect on the roadway
network through Minneola. This project will strive to determine the best
alternative to address the growth while working with the various developers
to determine how a roadway such as this fits within their approved plans.
